a couple of weeks ago in house group we were given £5 and a handfull of cards and told to use it to bless people. the most interesting way was given a chocolate bar. with my £5 i gave it to the staff in the coffee shop in the caludon centre. I asked them to use it to pay for peoples drinks and give them a card. it took a lot of explaining because people dont get it but eventually the 3rd person i told understood what they were to do. i dont know what the customers reactions were, it would be interesting to know.

i used my money to pay for £5 worth of newspapers from the local newsagents. it was very easy- i just went in and gave the shop owners £5 and some cards, and said could they give the next £5 worth of papers free. they were happy to oblige!
how did everyone else spend their money? has anyone else done stuff like this? do leave a comment. Vicki
I used my 5 pounds to buy one of the big issue sellers a coffee on a cold morning -with lots of sugar,
I also took in muffins for all my workmates on a saturday which they all seemed to appreciate. We could do this every week (now theres a thought!)
I spent my 5 pounds on my housemates (I live with all none christians)by buying a chocolate cake. I left it in the kitchen and told my housemates what the deal was with the 5 pounds. By the next day it ended by scattered across the bathroom and kitchen after some drunken antics that I wasn't involved in. But it was replaced without being asked so I reckon some bridges have been made.
My 5 pounds were spent also on paying for newspapers in my local newsagents. The owner was very touched and happy to help out. I had a good conversation getting to know him and telling him about what we were doing with our project. Just shows it's so easy to do but people really appreciate it. Sarah
i wanted to use my £5 to buy a big issue seller lunch. He'd already eaten but he told me it was his birthday so i brought him a cup of tea and some chocolates and cakes.
